About the Artist

Alma moved from Italy in 2015, looking for new inspirations and to study English, and has settled in Reading.

Over the years, she developed an interest in nature and for the vernacular architecture of her neighbourhood, making them essential subjects of her art. She likes to paint common objects and people, too, as an integrated part of those landscapes.

Alma Federico draws beauty from the mundane, encouraging us to look again at our surroundings and appreciate the design. Her work evokes intimacy, placing attention on the small, simple things life and Mother Earth gives to humanity.
