A Glimpse Inside Our Henri Matisse Exhibition Event

On Friday 18th September, we welcomed visitors to our Henley gallery for a special celebration of Henri Matisse, exploring his life, his artistic journey and the distinctive works that have made him such an influential figure in modern art.

We wanted to create an intimate and personal experience centred around Matisse, so we used a projector in our lower gallery to showcase different moments and periods from his life. This invited visitors to step into the world of Matisse, becoming immersed in his story, creative journey and the artist behind the work.
