Born in 1924, Paolozzi is appreciated by many as a pioneer of the Pop Art movement. Maybe some of Paolozzi's most famous work resides in Tottenham Court Road underground station, where many mosaic murals cover platforms, passages and escalator entrances.
Paolozzi was knighted by The Queen in 1989.
