Artist Residency at The Caversham Print Club

We are looking for artists with an interest in Print to work with us to develop our community. The club is designed as a fully professional traditional etching studio. We would hope that some of the work produced during your residency will explore etching, but you do not need to be an expert in this area. Simply passionate about all things printed!

As an artist, you will benefit from:

• * Free studio time for the duration of the residency
• * Off peak train travel or equivalent (Paddington or Bristol would be maximum distance) expensed for days that you have to be in. Based on the least expensive train choice for your route.
• * Sell work through our gallery on a professional consignment relationship

In return we would expect:

• * Residency would be 5 weeks in length
• * Approximately 3 completed originals/limited edition artworks which we can sell exclusively in our gallery
• * Available for our print exhibition in around May next year which would show work from all our residencies
• * You will be expected to document work and post on Instagram what you are doing to promote the Print Club and your classes
• * Running a weekly art course on weekends (can be during the week if you think it would work)

• • * This would preferably be something print based
  • * We would recommend choosing topics that are bought as individual day courses or can be rolled into a longer course
  • * Pricing for these courses will depend on experience teaching
  • * Other courses can be run on top of these. This is an opportunity to make a little bit of extra money. After VAT has been deducted we would split ticket sales 50/50.

You need to have (as a minimum):

• * A BA or MA qualification in art
• * Have an interest in printing
• * Some experience teaching
