Amazingly these colours from inside A Wing at Reading Gaol are real and exactly how the RAW file came off of the camera. I could not see these colours when I was there in person but there were a series of tiny coloured bulbs built into panels and alarm systems along the length of the wing. Using a 2 minute exposure these tiny coloured lights grew in intensity into the much brighter pools of coloured light you can see in the end result. One of the reasons I love long exposures, you never know exactly what you’ll get.
