From the jewel-like colour and gold of medieval illuminated manuscripts and Giotto’s simple storytelling, through William Morris’s richly patterned natural forms to Edward Bawden’s playful graphic prints, we’ll explore centuries of festive inspiration — combining traditional imagery with contemporary printmaking, collage and metallic leaf to create something distinctly your own.
About the Tutors: Francesca and Jonathan bring together complementary backgrounds in fine art, design and architecture. Francesca is a professional artist, lecturer and creative therapist, while Jon is an architect, artist and urban sketcher. Together they share a passion for creativity as a source of mindfulness, reflection and wellbeing, encouraging everyone to discover and enjoy their own creative potential.
