Perfect for those new to etching or for those wishing to explore its possibilities.
You will learn the principals of traditional etching and explore techniques of mark making on zinc plate using waxes and acids. This will be an introduction into how to safely use specialist etching equipment, and create a successful etching print.
You will finish the day with a series of printed images and an etched plate to take away and continue experimenting with.
About the Tutor:
Alex Foster, owner of the Caversham Print Club and Picture Framer, is passionate about print making methods. He originally setup the Print Club to explore traditional etching and develop a community of artists interested in exploring printmaking in a professional artist's studio.
