Caroline Hulse, a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, is our next artist at The Caversham Picture Framer.
After a classical art school training in the 1960s, Caroline Hulse has been represented by art galleries all over the world. Caroline believes a good professional artist should be able to paint anything. She describes herself as a ‘Restless Painter’, constantly searching for that ‘Perfect Image’. She paints every day, either in her home studio or while teaching at Joe Daisy in Mapledurham.
Caroline has been described as a ‘Master Painter’: “I hope it means I am accomplished, able, and successful. I teach painting too, and I have the ability to see what is needed to correct a painting. Painting is about knowing how to look, interpret and create. First there is ‘creation’ and then there is ‘skill’ to be able to convey the image you have in your head.”
We will display a selection of Caroline’s latest artworks at The Caversham Picture Framer, 7 Church Street, from September 2nd to 28th.
