Tetra-Pack Etching workshop
Learn how to use packaging from your recycling bin to produce a series of printed images that look similar in style to traditional copper plate etchings.
You will learn which packaging is suitable for use, how to use tools and tricks to produce an ‘etching’ plate ready for printing, how to ink up your plate, how to prepare your paper and finally how to print!
In the second part of the day, we will learn how to use acrylic inks and Chine Collé to add colour to our images.
About the Tutor:
Cath Baldwin is a well- known local artist and educator who has been making and exhibiting work for over 20 years. Primarily, her art practice focuses on the many forms and possibilities of print, with a particular interest in making printmaking more accessible to others. Cath spent many years teaching at local schools, colleges and universities and uses the knowledge gained by continuing to deliver workshops and private tuition.
