Our picture frames are on BBC 1!

Last November we had the pleasure to create some frames for Nicolette Carter, a Caversham based painter who has been making, exhibiting and selling her art for over thirty years since graduating from West Surrey College of Art and Design.

We are now delighted to know that she will shortly be featured on the latest BBC 1 Series of Home Is Where The Art is presented by Nick Knowles. She will be appearing on the program on Thursday 23rd July at 15.45 (you can also catch up on BBC iPlayer).

The format involves artists pitching for a commission and then being selected to create a unique art work to the specifications of the buyer.

Nicolette used our framing service for her paintings. She very kindly said “The Caversham Picture Framer has been extremely helpful, flexible and accommodating, going above and beyond to make it possible for me to work to a tight deadline. During the process  I visited their workshop in Pangbourne as well as the shops in Caversham and Tilehurst. The bespoke frames are beautiful and extremely good quality, and I was also given good advice about the type and colour of frames that would work best.”

During the filming of the episode, Nicolette travelled for hundreds of miles across the UK and was filmed at the TV Studio, in her own painting studio, and at the stunning home of the potential art buyers. Watch the show to see what happens and to admire our picture frames on BBC 1!
